I’m a friend of the great Ferruccio Tagliavini, got to witness some of his rehearsals here in Phila, A nicer, more gracious man never existed, Also i had the privilege of meeting th great Richard Tucker on several occasions. One of my fondest memories was hearing Mr. Tucker and
mme. Apolei live in Phila at the Academy of Music in CAVALLERIA. It was part of a double bill with a world premiere opera JERICHO ROAD by Pietro Aria. I will never forget Teresa’s Santuzza! Magnificent! Right up there with Bruna-Rasa and Callas. Please convey to her my best wishes and a big thank you!
