WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR US? The Homily of the Assumption

If God chooses someone to be His mother and be born in the Flesh, she is going to be a Special Person…as was Mary! She protected her Son, from the birth to the grave, and beyond! God had to be pleased with her….and would not let her body undergo corruption! That’s what we believe, declared in 1950 by Pope Pius as the Assumption of Mary, body & soul into heaven at her death!
What it means to us is that we need to keep close to Jesus and keep Jesus close to us…to achieve a meaningful, eternal life!
